The History of Intramuros, the Walled City, Manila

Intramuros, often referred to as the "Walled City", is a historic district in Manila, Philippines. It is one of the most significant and well-preserved remnants of Spanish colonial architecture in the country. Intramuros was established by the Spanish in 1571 and served as the center of Spanish political, military, and religious power in the Philippines for over 300 years.
